AWHONN Obstetric Patient Safety: OB Emergencies Workshop (4th Edition)
The AWHONN Obstetric Patient Safety (OPS) Workshop is designed to help clinicians work together as a multidisciplinary team using effective communication to identify, assess, and manage care for patients experiencing obstetric emergencies through simulation and debriefing.
Clinicians working in perinatal, emergency, medical-surgical, ICU, and critical access departments will find this course essential for caring for patients experiencing obstetric emergencies.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will:
- Identify key factors that place patients at higher risk for obstetric emergencies
- Demonstrate effective management of pregnant or postpartum patients during obstetric emergencies
- Participate in multidisciplinary simulation-based learning activities using cognitive, behavioral, and technical strategies

The workshop fee is paid through the AWHONN Store. After purchase, participants will receive an email containing their participant code and instructions to access the required prerequisite course.
Successful completion of the prerequisite course is required before attending the live workshop. Access to the online prerequisite course begins 30 days prior to the workshop date and ends 24 hours before the in-person workshop.
